Amazon Institute of Hotel Tourism and Management was established in 1999. Amazon Institute of Hotel Tourism and Management campus is located in Dehradun. AIHTM campus is accredited by the UGC, the MHRD, and the Ministry of Education.  Not only that but the institute is affiliated with Shri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University. It provides undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programmes in various fields, including hotel management, computer applications, and management.

Amazon Institute of Hotel Tourism and Management courses are available in multiple programs. The degree is available in Management, Hotel Management, Computer Application, Vocational Courses, Commerce and Arts programs. There are 4 courses in Management and Hotel Management program and 1 course in the Computer Application program. AIHTM also offers a Diploma program for students.

AIHTM faculty is highly trained and experienced. The student’s performance in the final qualifying exam determines their admission to AIHTM. AIHTM accepts students on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested students can participate in a personal interview followed by a short written aptitude test for Amazon Institute of Hotel Tourism and Management admission.

For the Arts program, AIHTM offers 2 courses. These are BA and MA. Courses at the Amazon Institute of Hotel Tourism & Management for Commerce program include B. Com and M. Com. Under the Computer Application program, there is a BCA course.

AIHTM offers 9 courses under Hospitality, Tourism and Catering. These courses are BHM, MHM, and MBA. There are 6 courses under the Diploma program. For the Management program, courses offered by AIHTM are BBA, MBA and MBA (Distance) courses. Under the Vocational program, there is 1 course available at AIHTM.

AIHTM infrastructure includes a library, hostel, gym, auditorium, labs and sports complex. Amazon has an updated library with thousands of books on hotel management, MBA, and related topics. The student is also provided with weekly hotel magazines, newspapers, and industry project reports. As a result, the Amazon Institute of Hotel Tourism & Management set up a well-stocked library with books written by industry experts.

Aside from imparting theoretical knowledge, emphasis is placed on providing them with practical exposure to the industry so that they may gain hands-on experience. Amazon Institute of Hotel Tourism & Management has fully equipped F&B production labs where students may learn about the culinary arts in detail. Apart from a fully equipped training bar and restaurant, the Amazon Institute of Hotel Tourism & Management also has a fully operational restaurant called 'Vatika' where they provide students with real-world experience working in the hospitality industry in order to broaden their horizons.

Amazon Institute of Hotel Tourism & Management also has modern guest rooms and a front office practical lab with six major sections, all of which are fully equipped with electronic and mechanical equipment, allowing students to gain a thorough understanding of reservation, registration, and bed making. Without limiting the source of education, the college provides a large number of recreational facilities to its students for overall development. An activity room has been set up on the Amazon Institute of Hotel Tourism & Management campus for indoor games, and tournaments for outdoor sports such as cricket and football have been organised to serve this purpose.
